A Rebuke to Political and Protestant Leaders

And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.

Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?

And as for my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.

–Ezekiel 34:17-19

Questioning the Protestant “Statement of Faith”

03238_northwestsunset_1920x1080

God warns against spiritual harlotry in the Bible.

This was the warning to the church of Thyatira. Thyatira would have no legacy because they seduced people away from the truth.

I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

–Revelation 1:19-23

The Bible introduced the concept of the “Great whore”, who had a history of sending saints or people who did not forceably convert to their beliefs to martyrdom. You can make your own assessments on who that great whore would be, by looking at nominally “Christian” groups that have murdered other Christians. One church organization is reckoned to have produced upwards of 50 million deaths, to say nothing of preceding torture and inhumane manner of death in many cases.

This is what the Bible says about the “great whore”:

And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Revelation 17:1-6

This theme of the Great Harlot is repeated in Revelation 18, with the admonition to “come out of her”.

And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

–Revelation 18:1-4

In this next passage, the persecuted saints emerge victorious.

Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.

And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

–Revelation 19:20-24

Psalms 137 speaks of the destruction of Babylon. Babylon the city was physically destroying in the 600s BC.

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.

For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.

How shall we sing the LORD’S song in a strange land?

If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.

If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.

O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.

Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

–Psalm 137

Jeremiah 50 speaks further on the destruction of Babylon.

The Bible specifically tells his people to escape from the clutches of the daughter of Babylon.

Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.

And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.

And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.

–Zechariah 2:7-12

So, what about the Protestants? Are they in the same boat with the Catholics? The Catholics both added and subtracted from God’s word. The Catholics put themselves as the intermediary between Christ and his people. Christ said clearly that we all have the opportunity to know Jesus and the Father directly in the new covenant, and that Jesus is the only way to come to the Father.

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

–Hebrews 8:10-11

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

–John 14:6

So when Christian protestant organizations have a statement of faith, are they both adding and subtracting from God’s word? Are they adding the doctrine of the Trinity and subtracting the moral law of the 10 Commandments, and basically the entire Old Testament and sections of the New Testament as well?

Recently I had an opportunity to apply for a job at a Christian organization near and dear to me. However, after a phone and in-person interview, they emphasized that I would have to accept their “Statement of Faith”. I could not in good conscience say that I agreed with the whole of it.

Here was my addendum to my response about whether I accepted their statement of faith.

Allowing for Personal Discernment

My personally held belief about the Godhead is that the Father and Jesus Christ comprise the Godhead and that the Holy Spirit is like unto the power of both Jesus and the Father. It was the same power that enabled Mary to become pregnant, as in Matthew 1:18, although the Heavenly Father is still the father of Christ!

This is one of those issues where there seems to be support for one belief, as in Matthew 28:19, but there also seems to be abundant support of a two person Godhead. These are examples where people are baptized/saved/praying solely in the name of Jesus. Prayer is made to the Father, but through the name of Jesus. (Acts 4:12, Acts 10:43, Acts 13:39, Acts 22:16, Romans 10:13, Ephesians 5:20, I Thess 5:4, Luke 24:46-47). Here are examples in the greetings to the readers of epistles, where Paul and others cite the Father and Son exclusively as in: Philippians 1:2, I Thess. 1:1, 2 Thess. 1:1, James 1:1, Hebrews 1:1-5, I Peter 1:1-5, Philemon 1:3.

Lastly, the Berean believers were commended by Paul because they questioned and checked out the veracity of what Paul said by comparing it with established Old Testament scripture to verify if there was harmony.

Well, I heard nothing back since that response over a month ago. I do not know that they have even hired anyone for the position.

But I have thought more about this. If you look at ANY protestant organization Statement of Faith, you will most likely find the doctrine/dogma of the trinity. What won’t you find? The 10 Commandments. That’s right, you won’t find a reference the commandments that God wrote in stone with his own finger.

Why? Firstly, Protestants have followed the Mother of Harlots in accepting Sunday as a worship day that they don’t even keep as a sabbath. Sunday observance both adds and subtracts from God’s worth. With that one corruption of God’s holy word, the “universal” church has done away with the 10 Commandments. Slick, is it not?

So, an applicant for a job at a Christian organization – whether it is as a secretary, accountant, computer analyst, or a pastor or spiritual leader – must agree to the prescriptive Statement of Faith. Think of it – the applicant could be committing adultery – but agree to the Statement of Faith – and be qualified for the job.

I object to that. Christ is my redeemer and Lord – that is my statement of faith.

I will not accept artificial constructs that are designed to undermine and minimize God’s word.

Let’s conclude with scripture.

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

–Acts 16:30-34

Did Jesus in any way weaken the moral law and the commandments?

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
